type='text'>Korean Music Festival

This past Saturday I attended the Korean Music Festival! My first KMF and many after claimed disappointment but since it is my first...I fell in love. My seats were awesome! I sat in Section B, Row 7! I will definitely order the same tickets again!
I got there around 3pm and just looked around. They were giving a lot of free items and had a lot of contests, most being the typical spin the wheel and see where it lands. In the end I had 5 Korean Air blue glowsticks, a blanket, free vanilla ice mocha from McDonalds, tons of free pens, tons of free bags, towelettes, make-up remover napkins, coffee mug, and some soybean chocolate~ This was all before I had to go in.

*edit later*

Disgusting Bus Ride

I stayed over at my friend's dorm over the weekend and was heading home when this disgusting thing happened on the bus. Okay, this happened this past weekend...specifically April 5, 2009.

Okay so I was on the 41. It seemed like a cool ride became most of the people on the bus were from university, so it was a small close group. Everyone was mostly lively and talking but then suddenly this girl runs to the front of the bus. She is crying and all I see is another bus driver who was going to go in run after whoever exited earlier. This young girl faces us in tears saying, "The guy who just got off the bus was jerking off and staring at us girls on the bus!" Everyone was shocked, we went silent not knowing what to do.

What sucks is that this girl kept quiet out of fear. She didn't know why he was doing it...heck she even told us later that she thought he might even pull out a knife. Me, a person of detail, recalled earlier that she let us in on the bus when we first got on. The bus first bus stop is the university and she was trying to get her id out of her Coach bag so she let me and my friend get on in front of her. She later sat in front of us but we were chatting and she was on the phone so she moved to the back, two seats behind us, in order to talk on the phone. This guy sat near her and she could see what he did. It sucks because she could have not experienced this if she just stayed seated in front of us but then someone else might have been traumatized and maybe this guy would have still took out his penis and jacked off without anyone of us knowing what happened!

I admit..this shook me up a lot. It happened near school. This sicko was in his 30s, a white male, and wearing a green t-shirt! Yea, this is the one time I despise having an eye for detail. I don't want to remember him, jeez! Also, he was seated near me...around 2/3 seats behind me. Also, he stared at the girls and he had a good view since the girls being around 5-6 of us sat towards or near the front. He being behind us...well you get the picture. I don't want some old guy staring at me and touching himself and on a public bus. I don't know but I felt invaded. All the girls did. Heck some were scared when the doors were left open when the bus stopped to get the guy and wait for the police. We all began calling our friends on our cell after we got over the shock and most girls began putting on their sweaters and such in an attempt to shield/cover themselves.

The weird part after was how normal everything returned...well the fact that the world is still going while we were experienced this. For example, the new people who entered on the bus and people walking by...they...have NO IDEA what just happened. What happened to us on that bus! It's so surreal but at the same time it causes us all to focus and remember that the world is still moving. We have to move forward and not let this douche bag take over us taking the bus. I know for sure that I will stick to sitting near the front just because the driver has a better view of me and I can see everyone who boards. All I can do is be cautious but don't let it take over my life and the decisions I take. Yea I sit in the front but I won't not sit in the back because of it...I will sit in the back every once in awhile but preferably with friends but it's good to be cautious but not to the point where it takes over everything action and decision you take.

So yea...just wanted to share this because it's been bothering me. I still take the bus everyday and the 41. I have to! It's the only bus the heads away from school to where I live. I guess it's good in the sense that because I have to take that bus, it makes me confront my fear. That's it! That is what happened to me...my disgusting bus ride...

Map The Soul

went on Map the Soul. read Tablo's blog and saw this...

메사를 무신경하게 흘려보내지 않는 방법
1. 몸의 움직임을 귀찮아하지 않는 그대들의 BMW 이용하기: Bus/Bike, Metro, Walking.

How to live a conscious life
1. This occured at around March 15, 2009~

Why must people try and avoid each other? Isn't it easier to tell the person and find out their reaction rather than hide behind some paper!

Well let me explain what just happened to me. You see, I live with my cousin right now since it's better to rent there and it's somewhat close to school. Okay, not that close. That's another story, which I will add in the next post. Now back to what just occured, I came to the house a couple days ago and when I did all conversations ceased. I didn't really find it too odd just because maybe they were discussing financial problems or other things between themselves, my cousin and his wife Nancy. So I went upstairs and started studying since I have finals coming, which start in the next coming days for me. So the next day at around 1am I go downstairs to get some milk but what do I find...a sign. Let me put what my cousin wrote,

"RULES

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU CLEAN RIGHT AFTER YOU COOK. EVENTHOUGH IT MIGHT NOT LOOK DIRTY MAKE SURE YOU STILL GRAB A TOWEL AND CLEAN THE STOVE CAUSE THERE'S TIMES WHEN THERE'S A LOT OF OIL ON TOP OF THE RANGE. AND MAKE SURE YOU CLEAN AND WASH WHAT EVER YOU USE RIGHT AFTER YOUR DONE EATING. DO NOT LEAVE DIRTY DISHES ON THE SINK. THANKS FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING. AND REMEMBER, THAT WAS THE RULES SINCE THE FIRST DAY!!!!

SINCERELY,

*COUSIN'S NAME* "

So yea, that immediately made me lose my thirst and ended going back upstairs to my room instead of having my hot milk. I just marched back upstairs shocked. Million questions ran through my head but the one that took precedent over all the others was, why couldn't he talk to me about it! Now, whenever anyone comes to visit, which is more often than not since his my cousin's wife runs a private tax consulting business and noterary, that sign will greet them. Of course being humans, we check our surroundings so inevitably visitors' eyes will land on the sign. The naturally thing to do is read it. So from what I know, 5 strangers have read that note. Yeah, that is so not embarrasing! Sorry for the sarcasm... you see, what really irks me about it is the lack of respect. I do all the things already and it's his wife and sister-in-law who make it dirty. Those two always leave dirty dishes and use up my oil! I hardly even cook as it is since I am too busy studying. I have opted instead to eating instant noodles, boiled eggs, or some sort of pasta since all that is required is me boiling a pot of water. Tell me how that causes a lot of oil spilled. Also to top it off, the oil that I have brought with me hasn't even been used a lot. It's barely been used, I will go out on a limb and say about 1/20th of the oil has been used. Seriously, I will take a pix and upload it later. Oh and the part about the dishes. Again I ask, tell me how cartoon character dishes are mine because from what I remember, my dishes are all purple! (Yea, I have purple set just cause my friends gave it to me since purple is my favorite color.) My cousin has a daughter Aillen and I love her to death but she only likes to eat food off her cartoon dishes. I mean if he's going to accuse people of something, do it with proof. I'm sorry but right now I am staring at the dishes, the dirty dishes, and all I see are cartoon plates, cartoon cups, and a white plate, which I might add are not mine. These dishes have been there since yesterday but NO, do you hear him saying anything....NOPE. Also, this man who claims to be my cousin, never asked me if I did any of those things, which reminds me of another incident not too long ago, about two mths ago.

That incident was another time where he assumed it was my fault because Nancy his wife, and her sister Sonia said it was me. What happened at that time was that someone was leaving the stove on. I didn't know it but Nancy and Sonia were blaming me! Well one weekend I told my cousin that I was going to spend the weekend with my friends at school because we were working on a project so I planned to stay over at their dorm. Nancy and Sonia did not know this. That weekend the stove was left on again. It took me not being there and it occuring for him to even think it was not me. So when I came home he told me about it and how the others blamed me. I blew it off like oh, no worries and told my cousin to just inform me next time. You know, just so that he can hear my side of the story on whether whatever I was being accused was really done by me. This time just like last time, he's just listening to them without even considering to discuss it with me. Sorry but family does not work like that. This situation can happen with roomates also but see the point is why can't they ask or discuss it first instead of putting up their signs. Explain that to me because I am having trouble comprehending! I mean this man, my cousin, has known me my whole life and I know his secrets; secrets that he has not even told Nancy about. This same man is the one who cannot ask me, "hey did you spill oil?" or "are you the one leaving those dirty dishes?" but rather puts up a sign! A sign that is not even discreet but out in the open where others, visitors which in most cases are strangers to me, can come see it. Of course, the only one renting here is ME~ So who are they going to naturally assume is the one mentioned in the sign? Me!

Honestly, this only bothers me because we are family but he chooses Nancy, his wife, over me but that in itself is understandable. The problem is that as family, I should get some benefit of the doubt instead of being ignored and unjustly accused. I would have let this go and not even waste my time writing about it but today I went to the bathroom and guess what?! ANOTHER SIGN! Want to know what this one said? Well let me type it up for you guys: "

RULES

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU RINSE THE SHOWER RIGHT AFTER YOUR DONE TAKING A BATH. AND PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU DON'T LEAVE THE WATER ON THE TUB. PLEASE YOU TWO TALK TO EACH OTHER AND MAKE ARRANGEMENTS ON WHO'S WASHING THE BATHROOM CAUSE EVERYTIME I COME IN HERE IS DIRTY. SO PLEASE, CLEAN THE RESTROOM TWICE A WEEK. THIS IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF BOTH OF YOU GIRLS.

THANKS,

*COUSIN'S NAME* "

So yea, I have a very nice cousin! Right? I wish, but hey like my friends and family tell me...at least I know how he is now. Luckily I am moving out next school year and dorming with my friends. I stay over their places often enough that it's like I live there anyways. I have my own toothbrush and towel already there! So yea, I am staying even more over there since I cannot stand to be here with my cousin. Right now, as per usual, I am up in my room on my computer. If I am downstairs I try not to stay too long. I never really got in there way before but now more than ever I will just try to not encounter them. Both Nancy and Sonia before would always ask this and that favor from me but I will just try to avoid them. Yesterday Sonia just came into my room without really asking and just went to my computer. She needed to use it since Nancy was using hers without even considering if I wanted to let her or not. I mean, yes, I have allowed her access before but those instances I was not busy but now, I am in final week!!! I couldn't yell at her but I did hurry and sent her off on her way. I don't know if it was cause of the weekend or what but she believed I was not busy. I always play music but that does not mean I am not busy. Music calms me and I also exercise with music, heck I shower with music playing. So yea she always does that, just comes in and assumes I will give in to her. Lately I have been tellin her that I cannot and that maybe another time when I am not busy. Yesterday I was in shock from all the signs and everything that I just let her use my computer. I let her just use it so that she wouldn't pester to ask when I am not busy.

That is basically it...so tell me guys if you have suffered any situation like this or anything similar. I am an open book and will definitely listen.

Tell me your problems and I will definitely respond. Also since I already wrote this, I will update my situation as well and tell you of other problems that come along!

Roomates (Friends or Family)

i miss living at home so much!!!!!! i never was a homesick type of person, until now!
okay...see here's some of the dilemna. i live currently with my cousin. i rent a room since the school i go to is far from home :) well they suggested that i live with them rather than dorm. of course my parents agreed since it'd be cheaper. now, i wished i'd dorm. today, i walked downstairs to heat up some milk. then i saw the sign on the microwave. some stupid sign! maybe i'll tell you guys about it..maybe not but right now...

i am in emo mode...gosh, it is so weird to say that but i am...i just miss home and wish i were somewhere else but here living with my cousin 2 hours away from home :(

Morning Bliss

Oh I wish...hehe. I woke up yesterday at 8pm. Please don't ask when I woke up :/
Anyways, I intended to sleep at one am today but guess what...didn't happen. Now I am still up and wondering when will my need for sleep kick in. As I said, I intended to sleep at one but didn't and now I have to stay up or take a nap. I plan to shower at 7am and then eat. After that I have to ride the bus at around 8am and then take a trolley at 8:32am. This is just the beginning. I will have to exit the trolley, the ride is about 30min, and take a bus to my destination. This destination is only a pit stop. By the time my ride comes it will be 10am...about. So basically it takes me about 2hours to get to where my pit stop is. Then, get picked up at around 10:20am and head home to Los Angeles! Takes two hours for that! So yea, most probably figured when my pit stop is or at least the area. So what do you think...should I nap? I figure I will get around half an hour. Not bad, but I can always sleep on my two hour ride...but who knows since I carpool and who knows if it'll be crowded. It's a bit of the luck of the draw. In my last two trips back home I have gotten into almost empty vans ^^. The first only have 3ppl and the 2nd having the van to myself, well tech the driver and his helper are there but I am the only paying customer riding. It is the same price regardless of how many passengers since it is a route they take :)
So I am guessing I am not sleeping..lol. Well I am off to not sleeping and watching some Taiwanese variety show or something...maybe a korean drama. Ah who knows, all I know is that I am most likely not going to sleep unless my conscience kicks in and makes me nap!

Planet in Peril

Right now I am watching CNN Planet in Peril. It is definitely a must see. This is opening my eyes even more. I am an animal lover, anyone who knows me is aware of that. This documentary makes me more of a devotee to animal safety and be aware. The documentary is showing the Battle Lines...not just the white and black areas but the gray areas as well. I can't believe the many happenings that are occurring around the world. It just proves that everything is affected with one change. That what happens around the world affects all of us in one way or another and makes me more aware as to how important journalism is especially of my dream to become like those reporters. They give us a face behind the problem, give us awareness that everything is linked, and show us both sides to the story so that we know what's happening and are not kept in the dark.

When I began watching around six pm, they were discussing epidemics that happens because of human contact with animals. In Africa especially due to their hunters who catch animals to be sold as 'bush meat.' I didn't know that once we had a monkey pox epidemic. Luckily monkey pox weakens as it transmits from body to body unlike HIV, which also originates from monkeys. Monkey pox is awful looking. It is like chicken pox because it attacks similarly and looks like rashes except they are dark, brownish black color with a tint of dark green. What pops into my mind is a ton of scabs all over the body. Imagine that! It causes fatigue, pain all over the body, and these scabs to form. Monkey pox is highly contagious and in Africa many die over it but the treatment there is to let it pass and keep the person eating, while hoping for the best. These type of diseases come from the people handling the animals they kill. The people come into direct contact with blood and other infected parts of animals when they not only hunt them but when they cut and handle them to be sold as 'bush meat.’ Not to mention the fact that eating them can also infect people.

Okay I will continue to write about each subject that was mentioned in the CNN documentary and my thoughts on it.

Lead Poisoning in Peru
This story really conflicted me because of the children...98% of them have lead poisoning. There is an oil factory basically right next to the school so there is no escaping the lead toxins in the air. They talked to a woman whose daughter died due to lead poisoning. The factory knows that it brings pollution and toxics so they have created a school miles away from the town and the factory. This school only accepts 100 children and they help the infected children, keep them moving so that they won't be hindered due to their system affected from the lead poisoning. Other countries also have such factories but they instill better facilities in order to not infect and poison those in the neighborhood. So what I am trying to say is, why can't they do the same and clean up their mess. Help the neighborhood more. Okay, I do give them credit for lowering the number of infected cases but the number is still high! I hope that more people, well the right people, know about this and do something to change it. At least for the children who can't escape the toxins.

Oils in Nigeria
Fights (MEND group)

Shark Fining legal in international waters. :(
On a good note, it's illegal in Cuba. There is this island there and it's illegal to catch sharks...well around five miles around the island it's illegal but it's hardly policed. The boats that come to police only come one or twice a month. Since it's the ocean and it's far from the island, it's an out of sight out of mind deal, so they forget to police. Also there are buoys where fisherman tether lines to catch sharks. They just put a line filled with hooks to catch them. Those who hunt sharks mostly just catch them, cut the fin off, and drop the body where most die sinking to the bottom because they cannot swim anymore. They captured such a scene and it was not something I will likely forget. It was really difficult to watch because the shark was alive when they cut the fin off and they just tossed...well kicked it back into the ocean where it sank to the bottom, no longer being able to swim. Most of these fins collected are shipped to China, Taiwan, and other parts of Asia.

Taiwan has no law against fins coming into it's port if they are under the "plan of action." Basically you have to have a body with the fin or else it's illegal. This was so the shark wouldn't be wasted but most come with just fins anyway and no one does anything about it. On top of buildings you see fins being sunned to dry. After drying they are stripped down to only cartilage. The cartilage is then turned into shark fin soup. This soup is consumed in huge amounts in Japan and China causing for more demand. The consumer demands cause more and more sharks to die and now to be at the brink of extinction. All of this just for the shark's fin, where they only use the cartilage for soup! That makes no sense to me, but luckily people are starting to pay attention to this problem. One way people are trying to make humans sympathize with sharks is via cage diving.

Cage diving is believed to help people sympathize with sharks since most have a belief, well a scare towards sharks because they are carnivores. So cage diving is seen as a way that they can bring people to the cause of saving sharks and see that they do not a pose a threat to humans. This though is controversial due to the manner in which the sharks are attracted to the cages. What is mostly done to attract sharks is tossing blood with fish parts out into the ocean. Many believe that this is making sharks start attacking humans or associate humans with food. The reason being is that the blood mixes into where the cages are and even inside, the sharks start biting at the cage where people are inside reacting to the blood and fish parts floating there. The blood and fish parts that are thrown into the water is called "chumming." Because people believe this encourages sharks to link people with food, many surfers who have been attacked by sharks endorse others to stop cage diving. Florida and Hawaii no longer “chum” because of increase in vicious attacks making people support the idea against cage swimming. There is no science to support either case. Much of this reason is because there is not much known about great White Sharks. They have never been seen mating, giving birth, nor do we know how many of them are left only that they are now on the endangered list.

Rudsen is one of the men who believe sharks do not see humans as food. He even goes swimming with sharks without a cage! The sharks swim near him but do not attack. They are capable of such destruction yet they just move around the swimmers not attacking and were just about their own business. This shows a whole new sense of who they are. The sharks are just being sharks. I am a bit afraid of sharks but I don't believe they see humans as food and I wish them to be free not extinct. I believe my fear comes from how they are depicted in movies like Jaws. I've seen sharks in person and have gone into the water with them...not in those cage-types that was discussed but in free water but of course they were not wild sharks. The sharks swimming will bypass you so gracefully and have no care for you. :)

"We've called it the ivory wars for a long time. They are continuing and we’re losing."

Chatzakuwa National Park is the last place African elephants are living in the wild. The elephants live surrounded with violence and instability. Elephants
roaming free in the Savannah are rare since the ivory trade killed 97% of the population last year. It is near Darfur so of course many militia and poachers come to find these elephant and capture their ivory to gain economic support for their group. Two years ago 180 carcasses of African elephants were found. The ivory trade is fueled by consumers in China and sadly USA. Darfur is still plagued by wars because of ivory. The money gained from ivory fuels the militia which allow them to continue fighting. This leaves innocent dead elephants over the Savannah. Dead elephants can be found by scouting voltures circling and and by smell that just hits you. The poachers just leave them to rot in the sun where their blood gushes filled with worm and maggots. The reporter Lisa Ling said it was like nothing she ever smelled before. The carcass was a baby elephant. This angered me because they killed an innocent baby. Baby elephants have no tusk, so they killed it for no reason. What most likely occured is that they shot blindly into a herd and took down the baby accidentally, or so is explained. Accidental or not, the fact that they are hunting down elephants for their tusks is wrong. They do it anyways for money. :( It's really bad because you can count how many wild elephants exist, especially African elephants. Also poachers are becoming careless, shooting herds at random without purpose. All they want are tusks and will do anything to attain it, even killing innocent tuskless baby elephants.

Mountain Gorillas in The middle of Human Conflict
The mountain gorillas in both Rwanda and the Congo are hard to find. You "hear them before you see them" said the guide touring the crew. Rwanda and the Congo are known as the last place where wild mountain gorillas inhabit. Somehow these mountain gorillas survice. Rwanda is known for its genocide with war group vs. war group. After the genocide of 1994, many silverback were killed and are now on the endangered list. Luckily they now thrive in Rwanda and the Congo but their habitat is a battleground where militia fight. The difference in violence has a caused a riff in the behavior between Rwanda mountain gorillas and the Congo mountain gorillas.

Congo gorillas are vicious who dislike visitors. Rwanda mountain gorillas act completely different. Thy are friendlier and are curious to their surroundings. This is why more is known about Rwanda mountain gorillas, they allow humans to interact and see them. The head count was 43 gorillas inhabiting Rwanda. They showed a group led by a silverback named Pablo. He is named after the silverback that used to lead that group. He is 400lbs and eats sixty pounds a day :)

*On a side note: I didn't know why they started referring the gorillas suddenly to silverbacks but now I do :) A silverback is an adult male gorilla, typically more than 12 yrs old, and with a distinctive patch of silver hair on its back. Not too hard to figure out why gorillas with that distinct path where called silverback huh. hehe. They are strong, dominant troop leaders. I think it's cause of age since mountain gorillas are Black blacks till they are 11. So of course like humans, gorillas also get gray hair with age :) I got this info over at wikepedia! Go there or just search silverback if you want to know more about them!*

Oh back to the topic, the mountain gorillas have tried to leave the area but end up returning because of fear from all the fighting. They are stuck in the middle of a battlefield, teetering on the brink. This just comes to show that conservation is possible even on battle lines. It's amazing they can survive and just give me inspiration to try even more at everything! I am serious. They are in the middle of war on the left and on the right of them but somehow they make it work and live. It's just crazy to me and makes me feel sad that the militia will not low them to leave or for them to get help. Yea each side wants to win but haven't they considered that there are innocents involved?!

Well that was the last story the documentary covered and they left the viewers with these tidbits: In forty years we are expected to double in size. Global conflict over resources is expected to occur in fifteen years at the rate we're going. This will lead to everyone coveting their resource and ensure battle if not wars. :(

Updates they gave us at the end! *The documentary took a year to shoot!*

MEND: The goverment of Algeria said that they would rather negotiate with MEND than fight. If it came down to it, the government is confident they can easily wipe the MEND group off in 3 days.

Peru: Laurella met with the executives of the company but they stated that they didn't cause her daughter's death and that they will help her family relocate.
*I don't know about that. I mean for people who feel they weren't responsible they sure aren't acting like it. If they didn't cause her daughter's death then why are they trying to help her relocate?!*

Mountain Gorillas: In Rwanda five were born, alive and well. In the Congo, milita won't allow people to visit the mountain gorillas making there be no way of knowing whether the gorillas increased or decreased in numbers.

The reporters were Anderson Cooper and Lisa Ling
Encore at NINE!

Finals~

Everyone is working on finals while I am here blogging. ;) Well I finished finals already so I can't say I'm busy studying or something to not do anything. Well this is off to anyone who is out there working hard for finals. Cram, cry, yell, scream, smile, and study your way through finals guys cause after it's over you know how happy and free you will feel knowing that vacation time starts. Not just vacation but Christmas. I don't know if you guys celebrate Christmas or not still but I still believe in Santa (hehe) and am anticipating presents!!!! Yes, I still get presents. I don't know if it's my child-like image or what but I am an adult who still receives presents from family. Yea Me! lol...sorry about that.

Back to finals. They are so stressful for most but my friends are hating on me. I cruised through them. I am not overly confident in them, it's not like that. The reason I "cruised" through them is that I studied. Wow, crazy huh...studying! Yea, see I don't cram. I study. What's the difference...well studying means that I study before finals. As in, I study every day just an hour or half an hour instead of busting an all-nighter the day before. So I know that I am ready by the time finals comes around. All-nighters are not for me. Yes, I have done them but I don't want to look like the living dead while taking finals. Plus, I am not a caffeine person. So the only way I can stay up is via orange juice. I am the type to get hyper via orange juice. :) Go figure. So yea, finals suck for the most part but remember you will feel so good when it's over. Don't stress over the grade, it's done and over with. You can't take anything back so just have fun with family and friends for the holidays. :) Leaving you with a lovely pix~

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 213px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_W9fEZjHJQSA/ST9U-_FY6YI/AAAAAAAAAB4/_Onuy_0MuO0/s320/499348433_a3f4e33722.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5278030729364171138" />

Procrastinators Unite!....Tomorrow!!!!!!

Okay so I am a huge procrastinator when it comes to things I don't do everyday...or are to my immediate attention...like blogging. I am a huge blogger in the sense that I read blogs lol...but writing everyday...hard task. Even a diary is impossible. My poor diaries. I always..well almost every year, I buy a diary saying that I will use it to improve my writing skills and it will be the one who will listen to all my problems. At first I do exactly what I say. I write in it, put up little tidbits of what I did like a ticket stub or a receipt. Then I forget to write one day...I try to make it up the next day writing as if I did...then i forget a week which turns into months! Well suffice to say, eventually it becomes forgotten only to be found again. Lately I just fill it up with texts of conversations I had and things like that. I have one now...and yea I don't write in it like I should or well how I planned. My point...well I have done the same to this blog. I can say "oh promise, this time it will be different!~" but I doubt that will work. Instead I can say this, "I will try my best to write as much as I can and treat you better than my diary..wait..then I am hurting my diaries feelings...hmmm...I will try to write more just because I have to prove that I can do something I say I will." There...seriously it's just that I have finals...school...romance problems...and a mess of junk going on. That is exactly why I need to write and I will try. I will give you that...I will try :) well enough of my rant there...maybe I will write later lol...or as nigahiga says to do..."OTH!" so yea OTH everyone. If you don't know it means OFF THE HOOK.

TrueLife

well the animations wont work...grr...

i wonder if u can see this...let me try screen shot as well and then tell you more about truelife~

ah, like i said the animation shot not working...

Sunny Hill

Sunny Hill is this band I happened to find on popseoul and found them exhilarating. Different from the norm, but still they will enchant any listener! They consist of two girls and a boy. Former Battle member Jang Hyun (22), Dalja's Spring OST singer Jubi, and former Cassiopia Seung-Hee (20). Their single "Ring Back Tone" has sad lyrics but their melody is really catching and upbeat putting you in a happy mood. I even did a little jig as I heard this song. They crept in silently put I think they will make a big bang!

Sunny Hill (single) - Love Letter (October 4)
1. With three long years of effort, the members, Seung Ah (20), Joo Bi (21), and Jang Hyun (22) have finally released their single. Their title track, Ringtone, is an R&B-style track about sending a person a ringtone instead of breaking up from the relationship. Because It’s You was composed by Lee Min Soo, who also wrote Brown Eyed Girls' Coming Closer and it’s a medium ballad track with lyrics about liking anything because one has a loved one. Good-bye New York is an up-tempo track where you can hear the brass and jazzy piano, while Leave has an electronica feel to it. -credits to motoway065

Miscellaneous

before i really start this blog...hehe
well i have to take things off my chest...
gosh, school is very odd right now. many of my friends are really freaking out. i am too but for other reasons: 1) coffee prince is over :( and 2) coffee prince is over!!!! WHAT WILL i DO NOW... oh and may I add, veoh no longer allows videos over twenty minutes. if it is, it becomes five minute previews which you can either download or view the full video with veoh tv. this does not always work. i love veoh more than youtube but it seems it just may become it. then, those of us who upload must video edit to cut the uploads into parts so the public may view it hassle free while having the option to download if they want. this is very frustrating to me.

okay that is not all i have to get off my chest. my friend Denise is acting weird. i wont write everything involved with her but it's a very private matter but she wants to quit school. i am trying my best to deter her. her reasons although plausible, they are weak. for me who is her best friend, they are weak. i can't put it another way. others may want to give way to her but i know enough that she is just using excuses. this is a reason why others are looking at me coldheartedly but i don't mind because i know what i am doing and it's for her own good. she knows it but still... anyways, now i can breathe and restart the process of breaking her down. i love her and that is why i am helping her. thanks for listening :/

College and Everything (in between)

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 256px; height: 320px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_W9fEZjHJQSA/ST9Z2H5pk1I/AAAAAAAAACA/a2oVRxW0jhU/s320/l_0702f2052698df57e5ef0d2d01396f77.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5278036074670166866" />
Gosh! I am anxious and worried of well...the future. Who isn't, right? I love the unknown normally cause they mostly involve great moments but at the same time it's UNKNOWN!!! Something can be both good and bad.... :( I am now closer to the next stage in my life COLLEGE. Am I ready? Who knows, but I start school Sept.27 while move in day is Sept.22 ^^ I didn't get my friend as a roomate though. Our dorms are near one another so it's all good baby. I love saying that for some reason. Anyways, what else is going on....ah, my friends called me and we went out. They are already at their respective colleges.

My friend Cherry is one of a kind... This guy is so funny and laidback but I fear he will get into trouble. *Oh, just so you guys know...he is named Cherry by moi cause he gets red like a cherry whenever we did P.E. and it stuck.* At least I don't call him Monkey like my friend Jennifer does. She swears he looks like one, well the face. In retrospect, he calls her Giraffe cause of her long legs. She sure is tall!!! He is studying up at UC Mercedes. Man, all I hear from him is booze this, hot girl that. To think I once had a crush on him. Yes, I admit he is cute but now we are the best of buddies. Boy, I tell you . I introduce girls to him and he is always wanting me to go out with a guy. At the same token, he is a brother. Very protective, though he can be annoying. I love him. Lunched with him this past Sunday. Now he is gone and single. Girls, beware!!!! Of course I will forever keep in touch however I can.

Middle School was our meeting. High school our playing field where feelings developed and stayed evolving into something more, stronger than lust or the usual sex appeal. Forever friends and somehow lovers though we never experienced, just felt an attraction. Wow, time has passed but we will stay remain strong and move forward with our lives so different yet very alike. Now back to other things....

All my friends are tired of reading and some partying but who knows what my experience will be. An ecclectic mix for sure, knowing me. I will study and try to go out but at the same time keep in touch with this blog and with my drama addiction. By the way, I just finished viewing Why Why Love Ep.10. An awesome Taiwanese Drama...if you haven't heard of it then I recommend watching Devil Beside You. Reminds me, I will soon put up my take on dramas and certain shows...like the synopsis and ratings. Oh, websites of course on where you can watch it or maybe even the download site. Ah, will now watch K.O. One and then try to find time so I can finish Coffee Prince (Korean Drama); Yoon Eun Hye is the main character!!! That is to say, I love her. Well my parents are watching Spanish news...something about a hurricane. hmm....well I have to go do well what I said...Ciao~

Before I leave...thanks again for remaining here and listening!!!! Arigatou, ShiShi, Merci, Gracias, Thank YOU!!!

Culture...Whatever It May Be

This may sound peculiar coming from a girl who embodies the Hispanic culture but I am utterly confused by the word culture. What does it exactly mean? I am not referring to the general sense of the word, which to most is exhibiting what your ethnicity or country is but what it really means both connatatively and denotatively. The dictonary has many definitions for the word CULTURE. One being: the quality in a person or society that arises from a concern for what is regarded as excellent in arts, letters, manners, scholarly pursuits, etc. or a particular form or stage of civilization, as that of a certain nation or period. In that sense I embody the Hispanic culture simply because I can speak and write in Spanish while keeping up with the latest media, be it news, NOVELAS, or music. Also doesn't hurt the fact that I can cook Guatemalan and Salvadorean dishes! The thing which bothers me though, is the classification. I don't really think I am the quintessential Hispanic girl. Let's see... I have been told that I am WHITE-WASHED and an HONORARY ASIAN.

Now, you're wondering where did honorary asian come from, right? Well, let me tell you. I grew up in a community consisting of well...mostly Asians. My whole block had only Chinese neighbors until recently. My block now contains three Hispanic families, including mine. Even in school, I did not have many Hispanic friends. Yes, a few here and there but being in the advanced classes since I was 7, I did not have the opportunity to meet many. At my elementary school, there is this test which one must attain one hundred percent to qualify into the G.A.T.E program. I believe it stands for the Gifted & Talented Education Program! Wooh~ Anyways, only three Hispanics were in that class... the friends I made are with me now. We went together from there to middle school and now ending high school. From the bunch, only two are coming with me for our next journey... COLLEGE! So...I always hanged out in their houses and them in mine. This is how I am the being I am now. The addicted to korean/ japanese/ taiwanese/ spanish dramas. Yes, even music and film. Gosh, I even visit the websites with the latest news and gossip. This earns me my honorary asian title because it seems that I can at times know more about what's occuring in the Asia world than my friends. I think its my obsession with dramas, which spur this oddity. Oh well. I am who I am.

In this entire tantrum I threw, one thing is clear. Culture is just a word. Why this created a hurricane in my mind... I don't know but I know that no matter what. I will be well..... ME.

Thank You for staying with me and my very long explanation of what I was thinking at the time. You guys are amazing :)
